How to Clean Wood Kitchen Cabinets
Most people take a long time to notice that their wood kitchen cabinets are in desperate need of a good scrubbing. This is because dust and other materials take so long to build up that we do not usually notice that it is happening until we're standing in the middle of our kitchen and saying "why does it look like we have cherry cabinets? I thought we bough oak kitchen cabinets when we moved in!" The simple truth is that buildup happens at the microscopic level and it isn't until it has formed a deep coating on something that we notice it is there. It can take weeks, months or even years to notice that something is amiss because we grow used to the different appearances of our cabinets.

First you should take everything out of your cabinets-especially the items that you rarely use. Run everything through the dishwasher to rid the items of their grime build up. While each load is running attack your wood cabinets with gusto! If you have any shelf paper in place, take it out and prepare to replace it after you are done cleaning. The easiest cleansers to use on wood kitchen cabinets (again, it doesn't matter whether they are oak kitchen cabinets or cherry cabinets or some other wood altogether) are Murphy's Oil Soap or Lysol All Purpose Cleaner. These cleansers can be expensive though so, if you are so inclined, you can also make your own cleaner out of one part lemon juice to two parts olive oil.Use a soft rag to rub the cleaner into the cabinetry and, while you are working the soap into the wood's surface, try to rub out any scratches, nicks or scrapes. Buff out any blemishes. You will want to say away from hard or scratchy sponges but you can use your fingernail to clean out any crevices or cracks (or to scratch out any blemishes) as you go along.
When the soap has been gently but thoroughly worked into the surface of your wood kitchen cabinets, dip the rag into hot and clean water and rinse the soap from the surface of the wood. You do not want to scrub too hard-this can damage the wood-but be firm as you push the clean water over the soap and wipe everything off of the cabinetry.
Take your time and be as thorough as you can. When you have finished cleaning, replace the shelf paper (if applicable) and put everything back into the cabinets. You will be surprised by how new and polished your kitchen looks even after only cleaning it!

Contrary to what 99 out of 100 agents will tell you, it IS possible to sell your home yourself. When you undertake that task, you'll become a FSBO (pronounced "fisbo," and short for "for sale by owner"), and though it can be a challenge, it's one that thousands of home sellers tackle every day. And you can do it, too! In a nutshell, here are the things to do to become a successful FSBO.
Clean your home (inside and out) and get the yard looking spic-and-span. Set a sales price based on selling prices of homes nearby of similar size and amenities. Put a FSBO sign in your front yard with your phone number and/or email address.Place an ad in the real estate classified section of your local paper. Pass out flyers to your neighbors and put at your local shopping mall, stores, libraries, and apartment complexes.Hold an open house.

Cleaning up and doing whatever maintenance seems self-explanatory, but be aware that you get used to certain things (especially odors) when you live in a home everyday. Putting up flyers in the area will also let people know your home is available. This can be especially effective for apartment dwellers longing to own a home of their own.
Open Houses
Handing out flyers to neighbors and inviting them to an open house can be your most effective selling tool. After all, your neighbors are happy living in your area and often have friends or family they'd love to have closer to them.
You'll notice I didn't suggest holding an open house and inviting the world. The type of open houses you see agents promoting are for the agents to get leads on home buyers. Few houses sell at open houses.
There are other factors to consider after you've found a buyer, but you can generally find help through a lawyer or an escrow company. The bottom line is: you CAN sell your home yourself. It just takes time, diligence, and attention to detail.

Another drawback is that it limits the privacy of each room. No longer can you have a private conversation with female guests in the kitchen while the men are watching a sports game. With a pass-through, conversations are bound to be overheard from both locations.

Safety Issues
Cutting into the drywall and creating an opening is not as simple as it may sound. Be sure to check for any existing electrical cords or plumbing that may be running through the wall in the location where the pass-through will be located. Cutting into the existing drywall will be a messy business and you do not want to start, only to find that you have to patch the wall because a pipe is running along that area. Also be careful that the spot where you cut is not a load bearing wall for the house. If you are concerned about removing the wall studs, consult with a professional builder and consider hiring a contractor to install support joists if needed at the top of the pass-through.

Before I define professional selling. Let's look at some of the related professions. Below are some definitions of professions/occupations that relate to professional selling from Wikipedia:

Notice in the above definitions, the profession is *not* defined as the individual. For example, marketing isn't defined as "people who market." Yet, the sales profession is often explained as "individuals who sell." Therefore, selling shouldn't be defined in this manner. Notice also, that the above professions are *not* defined by the activities of those individuals. In other words, the profession of advertising isn't defined as "placing ads on television." Therefore, selling shouldn't be defined in this manner.
Academically, selling is thought of as a part of marketing, however, the two disciplines are completely different. Sales departments often form a separate grouping in a corporate structure, employing individuals who specialize in sale specific roles. While the sales process refers to a systematic process of repetitive and measurable milestones, the definition of the sales "profession" doesn't exist (until now with this article).
So the questions become:
Who is "in" the profession and who is not? How does selling relate to marketing, advertising, promotions, and public relations? What shared competencies do individuals within the sales profession need? How do these competencies align to roles in terms of focus and differentiation?
A definition should provide a meaning. To determine the meaning of the sale profession, it is useful to determine what the sales profession *must* contain.
The following three tenets are required for professional selling:
The focus of the sales profession centers on the human agents involved in the exchange between buyer and seller Effective selling requires a systems approach, at minimum involving roles that sell, enable selling, and develop sales capabilities A specific set of sales skills and knowledge are required to facilitate the exchange of value between buyers and sellers
Within these three tenets the following definition of profession selling is offered by the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD):
Professional Selling is:
"The holistic business system required to effectively develop, manage, enable, and execute a mutually beneficial, interpersonal exchange of goods and/or services for equitable value."
Note: this definition was published by ASTD in 2009.
What does this definition accomplish?
First, it creates a definition of world class selling. An organization wishing to benchmark its selling effectiveness can leverage the above definition to clearly understand strengths and weaknesses. Without such a definition, most adjustments to the selling team are arbitrary and subjective. By understanding the system's view required for selling effectiveness, organizations can look at indidual sales team members as well as sales team processes and tools and how they align to the buyer.
Second, it allows for more consistent results in performance through the clear establishment of roles regarding who is "in" and who is "out" of professional selling. For example, if it doesn't involve a human agent, it is not within the sales profession -- it's a marketing function with a transaction (i.e., a "sale"). For this definition, sales operations, sales recruiters, and sales trainers are "in" the profession because they possess unique skills outside of their regular job titles. They posses knowledge and skill that is unique to enabling the definition.
Third, the definition lays the foundation for sales talent management/people strategies. With such a definition, sales development employees can create learning solutions that fit the unique aspects of a sales culture. At the same time, front-end recruitment strategies and more clearly tie to retention strategies.
Fourth, it helps organization on exemplary performance. By setting a bar with such a definition, organizations don't have to settle for mediocre sales effectiveness. They can use the definition to help bridge the gap between sales capacity and sales team competency.

I was a T-mobile customer for over a year before I heard about the corporate discount. It seems to be a well kept secret.
I was lucky to find a link on my company's website, along with the form to verify eligibility. After some paperwork hoop jumping, I finally received a 10% discount.

I later found through Internet research that the Corporate discounts range up to 15%, although it is hard to pin T-Mobile down on the exact details.

One of the major advantages to the corporate discount program is that you can also get several types of charges waived. For example, when I changed my Family Plan to increase the monthly minutes, the normal plan change fee was waived. When recently changing to the new Unlimited Plan, I had the change fee waived yet again. Adding that in to the monthly discount, and the savings quickly mount up.
Naturally, you want to get the largest discount that you qualify for. If, for example, you and your wife work in different companies, you would naturally like to know which of you gets the largest discount and apply for your phones under that name. Unfortunately, to prevent this type of discount shopping, T-Mobile does not publish a list of authorized corporate clients with their discount rates. You will have to do a bit of research to find the best deal for you and your family.
There are several ways to apply for the discount. First and easiest, is to visit a T-Mobile store and chat with a representative. The downside to this is that you might have a long wait if the store is busy, so try to hit the store while it's not too crowded. Also note that not all reps are equally well informed as to the discount program. So if you strike out at one store, find another.
The second method is use the T-Mobile website. The link to the current (December, 2009) site is:

Note that a log in may be required before you reach the correct web page.
From this page you can download the Corporate Discount Form. However, that requires a lot of information that you may not have. If you have the info, great. Go ahead and fill out and email the forms.

Lastly, if the chat service is available, you can chat online and request the corporate discount.
If you don't qualify for a corporate discount, due to not being on the list of sponsored organizations, there is another free option.
